Full Circle

Description

Full Circle is the solo debut album by the American singer Nedra Ross, formerly of the legendary girl group Ronettes (who was Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted in 2007), released on NewSong Records in 1978, through the Jubilation Group distribution arm of Myrrh Records, a division of Word. The album was recorded by Mal Davis and Gary Hedden with Nedra’s husband Scott Ross producing. Mixed by Hedden. Vocal arrangements by Phil Keaggy and Bobby Schiff.

Featuring five songs written by Ted Sandquist (A2, A3, B3, B4, B5), four songs written by Phil Keaggy (A1, A5, B1, B2), as well as one song written by Keith Green (A4). The title track written by Phil Keaggy was later re-recorded on his 1981-album Town to Town.

Pop-rock and ballads LP from former member of the ‘60s female trio The Ronettes, best known for their hit «Be My Baby». Best cuts here are the four written by Phil Keaggy: the title song (later to appear on Keaggy’s Town To Town album), «Sunrise To Sunset», the funky «Gonna Keep My Mind (Stayed On You)» and the lovely string-accompanied acoustic ballad «Unchanging Love For You» (co-written by Bernadette Keaggy). Keaggy’s presence on guitar and mandolin certainly helps. Also a cover of Keith Green’s «I Don’t Want To Fall Away From You». The remaining songs were all written by Ted Sandquist and fall more into the orchestrated easy-listening/CCM category. Produced by her husband, Jesus music DJ Scott Ross.
