Description
Sunshine Day is the debut album by the American soul/R&B group The McCrary (a.k.a. The McCrarys), released on Light Records in May 1972. The album was engineered by James Lowe with Bill Cole producing. Arranged and conducted by Fred Werner. (The McCrary siblings were also a part of the West Coast rock combo “The Coalition” which released their sole album For Now 3 on Concordia the same year.)
The vocal group (the McCrary siblings: Linda, 17; Howard, 19; Charity, 20; Alfred, 21; and Sam, 26) is backed by a session band consisting of Joe Sample and Fred Werner on keyboards, Michael Anthony on guitar, Joe Osborn on bass, and Joe Porcaro on drums and percussion.
