Description
How Will They Know… is the sophomore solo album by the American soul singer and songwriter Denny Correll, released on Myrrh Records in 1980, a division of Word. The album was recorded and mixed by Willie Harlan at International Automated Media in Irvine, California; with Skip Konte producing. Arranged by Larry Muhoberac.
A different sound for Denny Correll: a lot more white soul and a lot less rock’n’roll perhaps best describes his most recent LP. Most of the upbeat tunes appeal to MOR and easy-listening audiences and the best on the album are the more straightforward ballads. Correll’s husky vocals work well against the recording’s full, rich Konte production. (Best cuts: «New Life In Me», «He Set Me Free», «Stumbling Blocks».) [CCM (Records – What’s New), November 1980]
