Praise II is a multi-artist compilation released on Maranatha! Music in 1976. It is the second album of an ongoing series of praise and worship compilations known as The Praise Series, recorded by The Maranatha Singers. The album was recorded at various studios in California – Sunset Recording Studios; Buddy King Studios in Huntington Beach; Martinsound Studios in Alhambra; and Mama Jo’s Recording Studio in North Hollywood – with Tom Coomes of Love Song fame producing. Mixed by Bill Schnee at Whitney Recording Studios in Glendale, California. Orchestrated and arranged by Bob Cull.

Note: Simultaneously released on 8-track tape, cassette, and 12-inch vinyl LP by Maranatha! Music, with the vinyl edition housed in a gatefold sleeve. Re-issue in 1979 with Word distribution credit printed on back cover and additional songwriting credits that were not on the first issue, printed inside cover. The first and rarest pressing from early 1979 was pressed by Columbia, Santa Maria on a modified version of the beige label with black print. The second pressing from later in 1979 was pressed by Columbia, Santa Maria on the blue label without the small “M” to the right of the glowing pink dove. Subsequent pressings were pressed by Monarch Record Manufacturing Corp (and later ElectroSound Los Angeles) on the blue label with a small “M” to the right of the glowing pink dove.

Re-issued on CD by Maranatha! Music in 2012, as a part of The Praise Box Set. The CD box set features the first 7 vinyl Maranatha! Praise LPs from the 70s and 80s. Each CD album is re-mastered and digitally restored for the purest sound and features the original cover artwork, all contained in a slipcase box. Includes The Praise Album (1974), Praise II (1976), Praise III (1979), Praise 4: In His Time (1980), Praise 5: It’s Time to Praise the Lord (1981), Praise Six: Come and Sing Praises (1982), and Praise Seven (1984).
